Women's voices are more sought after than ever in the third decade of the 21st century. This is true in concert halls as well, and on March 8th, International Women's Day, the Odense Odense Symfoniorkester will allow women to be heard in many different ways – both in music and in a subsequent panel discussion on the subject.

The program includes a number of outstanding composers, both women and men. With the slight twist that the music composed by men describes powerful women. The conductor is a woman, and the soloist is a woman.

The subsequent panel discussion will be led by the chairman of the Odense Odense Symfoniorkester's board, Lisbeth Knudsen, and the panel will be mixed. When can we program music for the symphony orchestra without focusing on whether the composer is a man or a woman? What music is essential to play from female composers, both young and old? And how do performing artists, conductors, and soloists experience this debate impacting their work?
