September 3rd, 2023 | Wolfram Christ and the OPV at the Lucerne Festival
Wolfram Christ will be both playing and conducting at the Lucerne Festival. With this matinee concert Wolfram Christ concludes his career as a soloist - a career that has taken him all around the world for more than 40 years. He will be playing a farewell composed for this occasion by Jörg Widmann with Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto. Christ will also demonstrate his versatility when he takes up the baton to conduct Schubert’s animated Third Symphony and Mozart’s heavenly Clarinet Concerto, with Sabine Meyer.
