With beginning of 2023 Eckehard Stier has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania

Eckehard Stier was General Music Director of the City of Görlitz as well as Chief Conductor of the New Lausitz Philharmonic Orchestraand Music Director of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

His international engagements have led and lead him among others to the London Symphony, London Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Orchestre National de Lyon or the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona.
